Advanced Practice Nurse is a registered nurse who has acquired the expert knowledge base, complicated decision-making skills and clinical competencies for expanded practice. The characteristics of which are formed by the context of their country in which they are credentialed to practice. They perform tasks once reserved for medical doctors. They assist different medical professionals and manage patient care, and many specialize in fields such as pediatrics, oncology, and family medicine.
